Jining Medical University

Jining Medical University, founded in 1952, is a prestigious provincial comprehensive university known for its strong academic foundation. The university operates across three campuses: Taibai Lake Campus, Rencheng Campus, and Rizhao Campus, spanning a total area of 1.15 million square meters with a building area of 670,000 square meters. In collaboration with Jining National High-tech Zone, it has established a teaching technology park. The university’s fixed assets amount to 1.73 billion yuan, including 250 million yuan worth of teaching and research equipment, and a library collection exceeding 3.6 million volumes.

The university boasts a distinguished faculty of 6,165 members, including nationally and provincially recognized educators, “Taishan Scholars,” government-awarded experts, and leaders in various fields such as behavioral medicine and forensic science. About City:

Jining is located in the southern part of Shandong Province, where the boundaries of Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, and Anhui converge. It is bordered by Heze, known as the “Peony Town,” and lies to the north of Xuzhou in Jiangsu Province, with the Yellow River separating it from Liaocheng to the northwest. The capital city of Shandong Province, Jinan, is located approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles) away from Jining.

Jining is historically significant as an important birthplace of Chinese civilization. It is the hometown of Confucius, Mencius, and other great sages, and Confucianism spread from here to the rest of China. Visitors to the city can explore the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Confucian Family Mansion, which hold rich historical value. The Temple of Confucius features more than 460 ancient buildings, including palaces, halls, terraces, and pavilions arranged in symmetrical order. The Confucian Family Mansion displays numerous historical relics, such as porcelain, ivory carvings, jade carvings, and robes. Additionally, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, constructed over 720 years ago, is still navigable in Jining and has a shipping capacity of 100 million tons, showcasing both scenic beauty and cultural heritage.

Today, Jining is recognized as one of China’s Outstanding Tourism Cities, known for its charm, cultural significance, and potential for investment. The city boasts convenient transportation links, serving as a hub that connects the East to the West and the North to the South, as well as being a key route for the South-to-North Water Diversion project. Climate

The summers are hot, oppressive, wet, and mostly cloudy and the winters are very cold and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 31°F to 90°F and is rarely below 24°F or above 96°F.
