About City:

Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, is located near the North China Plain, bordered by Beijing and Tianjin to the north, the Bohai Sea to the east, and the Taihang Mountain range to the west. The city’s growth began over a century ago when the Lu-Han Railway reached Shijiazhuang Village, initiating an industrial transformation. Today, Shijiazhuang is a major railway hub, with key railways such as the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway, Shijiazhuang-Dezhou Railway, and Suzhou-Huanghua Railway passing through the city. The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway plays a vital role in international exchanges, while the Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway is essential for transporting Shanxi coal.

Despite its modest beginnings as a small village, Shijiazhuang has thrived, especially following the advent of modern railway construction. It is now a key economic, political, cultural, and scientific center in Hebei Province, undergoing rapid urban development. A picturesque jade-like moat surrounds the city, complemented by 20 beautiful parks, making Shijiazhuang an increasingly attractive destination with daily advancements in culture and infrastructure.

Though a relatively young city, Shijiazhuang is situated in an area with rich agricultural land and a profound cultural heritage. Notable nearby attractions include Mount Cangyan, approximately 70 km from the city, renowned for its religious significance and natural beauty. The mountain, with an average altitude of over 1,000 meters, is home to Yuhuang Ding, its highest peak. In 1998, Mount Cangyan was designated as one of China’s key scenic spots by the State Council.

Another key landmark near Shijiazhuang is the Zhaozhou Bridge Park, located around 24 km from the city. Built between 605-618 A.D., the park’s central feature is the ancient Zhaozhou Bridge. The park spans approximately 870,000 square kilometers and is known for its tranquil pavilions, stately pines, well-maintained gardens, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a serene spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
